Silver filled adhesive stands up to adverse conditions

Master Bond Inc has introduced Polymer System AC85, a highly conductive silver filled adhesive and sealant. Owing to its highly conductive, non-oxidizing, silver particles AC85 has excellent conductivity. It also features long term durability even when exposed to adverse environmental conditions due to its oxidation and chemically resistant properties. and. AC85 is considered to be cost effective, combining easy application with high area coverage. Performance characteristics include a service temperature range of -62C to 150C (-80F to 300F), a surface resistance of 0.03 ohms/square, excellent ESD performance and an EMI performance of 60 -70 dB.

Master Bond AC85 is easy to apply as it is a solvent based one component system with no need for catalysts or accelerator additions. Application is by brushing, dipping, air and airless spraying equipment and silk screening. Viscosity can be readily adjusted with compatible solvents such as toluene, xylene and methylene chloride.
