CERTON, a proven industry leader in safety-critical systems, software, and electronic hardware engineering, is proud to officially announce being approved by the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) Consortium as an authorized Verification Authority (VA).

The FACE Consortium, an Open Group Managed Consortium, has concentrated its efforts toward addressing avionics software development and deployment. The intention of the FACE Technical Standard is to reduce costs and streamline delivery of military avionics systems. This is done by codifying a modular architecture, standard interfaces, data models, and conformance criteria into a common operating environment and reusable software components. This provides a means to share capabilities that will exist across platforms, military services, and avionics vendors. The VA is responsible for conducting the For-the-Record conformance verification test using approved test tools and also for assessing the Verification Evidence provided by the Software (SW) Supplier.

CERTON has demonstrated expertise on the FACE Technical Standards and being named an approved FACE™ Verification Authority marks a significant accomplishment for CERTON. This affirmation positions CERTON as part of an elite group of only four authorized suppliers for safety-critical military avionics software verification conformance during a time when Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, ARMY, AIR FORCE, NAVAIR, and other organizations are embracing FACE™ for avionics upgrades.

Timothy Stockton, President & CEO at CERTON, stated, "We've established a strong reputation providing safety-critical engineering tools and services for embedded software and electronic hardware. As an authorized FACE™ Verification Authority we will apply our demonstrated expertise toward application of these forward thinking software technical standards to bring a new level of quality, safety, and reusability to the future of avionics.”

Over the last decade, CERTON has established an identity of unparalleled safetycritical certification solutions in the aerospace, medical device, and transportation industries. CERTON has internally developed tools and exclusive technology designed to streamline approvals of safety-critical systems, software, and complex hardware. These competitive advantages allow CERTON to minimize the time-to-market of customer products while providing a FirmFixed Cost to its customers. CERTON provides expertise in all phases of systems, software, and complex hardware product design life cycles to support rapid approval of safety-critical customer products.
