26/07/2016

Press releaseIssued by FUCHS Lubricants (UK) plc and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

Fuchs Lubricants Co. and its parent company, Fuchs Petrolub SE, are pleased to announce the Safran approval of ECOCOOL S 761 B. The new approval authorizes the use of ECOCOOL S 761 B in the manufacturing of Messier, Bugatti and Dowty landing gear, non- assembled steels UTS ˂1380 MPa and aluminum and titanium alloys.

ECOCOOL S 761 B is a high performance soluble oil coolant with outstanding sump life for use in both ferrous & non-ferrous metalworking applications. It is formulated to control foam in soft water, yet retains emulsion stability in hard water. Its sophisticated lubricity package provides excellent lubrication for cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, broaching, milling, reaming, honing and sawing operations to give excellent surface finishes and extended tool life.

ECOCOOL S 761 B is ideal for Tier 1 aerospace industry suppliers, providing high grinding speeds when producing aerospace aluminum, nickel super-alloy (including Inconel 718) and titanium (including Ti 6-4 and Ti-5553) components used in modern aircrafts.

Other ECOCOOL S 761 B approvals include; Boeing BAC 5008, Bombardier BAMS 569-001, Lockheed Martin EMAP G34.62, Airbus, Bell Helicopter, Rolls Royce CSS 129 & CSS 131 and Pratt & Whitney PMC 9364-1.
