Aernnova, global manufacturer of aerostructures, has bought Burulan, Basque company based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, dedicated to machining and treatment of metal components, mainly for the aerospace sector, employing 61 people. With the purchase of this company and the recent adquisition of Patricomp in Finland, Aernnova Group strengthens its position in the market of metal structures and components and reaffirms its strategy of turning its subsidiary Aerometallic a strong Tier 2 operating autonomously in the global market.

Aerometallic has its registered office in the Technology Park of Alava (Basque Country, Spain) and with the addition of Burulan would become a company with expected revenues of around € 100 million in 2015 and 900 employees. It specializes in sheet metal, machining and surface treatments. With the purchase of Burulan, Aerometallic diversifies and increases its capabilities by completing its market offering of aircraft metal skins, stringers, ribs and other metal components.

With this purchase, the Aernnova group contributes to enhance its capabilities, in activities that present opportunities for growth in the aerospace market which would strengthen regional/national industrial base in the field of metal components manufacturing.
