Texstars LLC, a subsidiary of AIP Aerospace, announced today that Bell Helicopter, a Textron Company, has awarded Texstars a contract to produce windshields for the Bell 525 Relentless program.

The windshields on this aircraft are designed with significant safety improvement features. The pilot's field-of-vision will be significantly enhanced with a wrap-around windshield, eliminating the need for lower-view chin bubble windows and overhead skylights. The improved pilot's view will enable direct sight on mission objectives below and target landing areas. Another design safety feature includes the use of an alternative structural transparent material. This new robust construction will allow pilot, crew and passengers a safer flight and resistance to incidents from bird-strikes.

"The use of the improved safety feature designs for the Bell 525 Relentless windshield underscores the dedication of Bell Helicopter to provide customers with the best and safest aircraft possible. We are pleased to be a part of the Bell 525 Relentless team," said Chris Gould, Texstars' President.

The Bell 525 Relentless Super Medium helicopter is the latest model launched by Bell Helicopter. Its design emphasizes passenger comfort, reliability, fuel efficiency, and reduced maintenance costs. Capable of carrying up to 16 passengers, the Bell 525 Relentless is designed to support customers in various mission configurations including oil and gas, search and rescue, helicopter emergency medical services, and VIP and corporate transport.
