MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB have executed flights from a heavy aircraft carrier "The Admiral of Fleet of Soviet Union N.G.Kuznetsov"

Russian Aircraft Corporation (RAC) "MiG" has successfully performed flight tests of the ship fighters MiG-29K/KuB on a heavy aircraft carrying cruisers "The Admiral of Fleet of Soviet Union N.G.Kuznetsov" which are serially let out by the order of Naval Forces of India.

Aircrafts MiG-29K and MiG-29KuB have executed landings and launches on a deck of the cruiser situated in the Barents Sea on the 28th and 29th of September, 2009.

Flights from the ship were performed by test pilots of RAC "MiG" Michael Beljaev, Pavel Vlasov, Nikolay Diorditsa, and also the test pilot of the Air Forces of Russia colonel Oleg Spichka.

The deputy General Director on flight work - the chief of the test flights centre of A.V.Fedotov, the Hero of Russia Pavel Vlasov headed the test flights.

Representatives of the customer observed the tests.

Flight tests of MiG-29K/KuB on the air carrier "the Admiral of Fleet of Soviet Union N.G.Kuznetsov" sum up the big work on creation a new fighter of ship basing in Russia.

General director of JSC «Russian Aircraft Corporation «MiG» Michael Pogosjan was on a cruiser "the Admiral of Fleet of Soviet Union of N.G.Kuznetsov" during test flights. He has thanked pilots for excellent work and has accentuated that flights from a deck of the ship demand the highest flight skill.

Michael Pogosjan has expressed confidence that planes MiG-29K/KuB will in demand by the Russian Armed forces. The head of RAC "MiG" also has noticed that successful tests on the ship will promote the further development of the program MiG-29K/KuB in India and the growth of interest of other foreign customers to new planes of RAC "MiG".
