Duracote launches new decorative non-textile Nexflor flooring

Duracote Advanced Materials has unveiled its new Nexflor non-textile aircraft flooring at this year's NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Orlando, Florida.

Designed for aircraft, mass transit, marine and military vehicles, this revolutionary non-textile flooring is ideal for galleys, lavatories and entryways. The decorative Nexflor line is built to withstand the traffic of both private and commercial air transportation and can be customized to fit the needs of both small and large aircraft. The initial product line will include four wood grain patterns.

The newest aviation flooring line from Duracote was created to address the needs voiced by OEMs, airlines and distributors. Designed with flame-reactive capabilities, the non-slip Nexflor is also impact-resistant, anti-static, antimicrobial and hydrophobic.

"Duracote has received many inquiries about a new flooring line by both OEMs and distributors to bring a stagnant market into the next generation," said Tim Pallay, marketing program manager for Duracote. "Non-textile flooring is becoming a larger need for aircraft manufacturers and MROs as they are constantly replacing carpet in the cabins due to spills, stains and bacterial growth. Our product has coupled new technology with past innovation to provide a solution that addresses all these issues."

The initial offering of Nexflor will include four wood grain pattern options of assorted colors. Lightweight and easy to install, the new flooring line is available with foam and nonwoven backing options, as well as a construction with no backing.
