Feronyl signs memorandum of agreement with Lockheed Martin

Feronyl signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Lockheed Martin to develop further long-term partnerships for the development and manufacture of highprecision injection molded components with advanced and newly developed composite and metal materials.

Philippe Dedecker, CEO Feronyl, explains: "In this project of Feronyl with Lockheed Martin, we will further sharpen our industrial knowledge in collaboration with the Von Karman Institute. This collaboration between our engineers and academics is unique and will be propagated by the three communities in our country. The aim of the collaboration is not only to bring an exceptional product to the market but also to create an economic added value for Belgium."

Gregory Day, F-35 Belgium Business Development from Lockheed Martin, stated: "Lockheed Martin is very excited to strengthen its collaboration with Feronyl in Belgium and to mutually explore research and development opportunities that will further develop Feronyl as a best value provider, as well as growing our presence in multiple key markets.

The agreement enables a new collaboration between both companies. The signature of this Memorandum of Agreement could not only bring significant additional work to Feronyl's facility in Mouscron, but could also further develop its expertise and know-how.

Philippe Dedecker, CEO Feronyl, proceeds: "This signing today is the result of years of research with Lockheed Martin into new materials that can be used to replace the F-16 by the F-35."

The new Feronyl technology, which relates to new developments as a result of the injection of composites and metal, will prove to be extremely useful not only in the aviation sector but also for new medical applications.
