Press releaseIssued by Collins Aerospace, Interiors & Cabin Seating and published as received — not written by Airframer’s editors.

Aerospace systems and lighting integrator EMTEQ has designed and introduced two new LED (light-emitting diode) interior lighting solutions for commercial air transport and regional jet aircraft, the ELR14 reading light and ELW34 compact wash light. Using solid-state diodes instead of incandescent bulbs as their lighting sources, these new systems provide long-lasting light with virtually no maintenance and a MTBF of 10,000 hours for the ELR14 and 40,000 hours for ELW34, making them ideally suited to high-cycle commercial operations.

Other features common to both products include robust packaging for exceptional reliability and use of state-of-the-art LEDs for exceptional performance and high intensity, even lighting. Like other EMTEQ LED products, these also draw minimal current. ELW34, the first known white wash light for air transport category aircraft, is available in warm and cool color temperatures.

"We're very aware that meeting customer expectations and market requirements is key to growing EMTEQ's presence and reputation in the aviation industry. While reducing maintenance requirements and helping aircraft operators save time and money, these new lighting units also reflect our ongoing commitment to being a leader in product innovation, customization and systems integration," noted EMTEQ's president Jerry Jendusa.

Both the ELW34 compact wash light and ELR14 are available as stand-alone items or as part of an integrated installation kit. As a value-added service provider, EMTEQ offers certification expertise and will collaborate with engineering or maintenance departments to guarantee optimal product performance and best practices for installation.
