Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) was awarded the "Design Organisation Approval" certificate for the GOKBEY helicopter by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM).

The scope of the Design Organisation Approval (DOA) document given to TAI with the HURKUS project in the past years has been expanded for the T625 GOKBEY helicopter to include the design of large helicopters. TAI has successfully completed the comprehensive and detailed evaluation processes carried out by DGCA in accordance with national and international laws. Thus, another important step towards obtaining the Type Certificate has taken place for the T625 GOKBEY helicopter.

Speaking about the Design Organization Approval, TUSAS General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said, "Today is a very important day for us. Previously, we had a certification authority for the fixed wing Hurkus. Now, we have successfully completed another important stage for GOKBEY, which is our 100% national helicopter from scratch. By strengthening our cooperation with SHGM, we will continue to take all necessary actions for our domestic and national products." said.

General Director of SHGM Prof. Dr. Kemal Yuksek, on the other hand, said: "Such things are important at the point of reaching the targets. As SHGM, we are identities walking together with TUSAS. We are happy to give you this authority in terms of rotating wings. We are living a special day at the point of achieving goals together. I would like to thank everyone who contributed."
