Curtiss-Wright awarded contract from Boeing for the 747-8 Intercontinental and 747-8 Freighter aircraft

Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that it has received a contract from The Boeing Company to provide Leading-Edge Rotary Actuators for use on the Boeing 747-8 aircraft.

"Curtiss-Wright is proud to continue our strategic role as a key supplier of advanced actuator components for Boeing aircraft," said David Adams, co-chief operating officer of Curtiss-Wright Corporation.

Curtiss-Wright's rotary actuator product will be manufactured by Curtiss-Wright Controls, Flight Systems in Shelby, North Carolina, and shipped to Boeing in Everett, Washington. Under the contract, delivery begins January, 2011 and extends through December, 2012.
