Gables Engineering specifies hi-rel Datamate connector systems from Harwin on new avionics programs

Harwin, the leading manufacturer of connectors and interconnect solutions for hi-rel applications, has announced that Gables Engineering Inc. of Florida – an industry leader in custom avionics controls and other related products – is using its Datamate high reliability connector products on a number of avionics boxes including Boeing.

Gables Engineering products are used in communications, navigations, digital audio and flight control systems. The Datamate 2mm pitch cable to cable, cable to board and board to board connector family is a natural fit for these applications since the system guarantees high performance even in environments that experience severe shock, vibration and temperature conditions. Primarily, Gables Engineering uses Datamate L-Tek connectors with friction or locking latches, but the company also specifies Datamate J-Tek connectors which have the added security of jackscrews.
