VoltAero's pioneering development of its Cassio aircraft family, powered by the company's patented electric-hybrid powertrain, is being highlighted during this week's AERO Friedrichshafen trade show in Germany – where the company's display stand is included in the e-flight Expo area (Hall A7, Stand #101).

For the 2024 event, VoltAero's Cassio S testbed aircraft is making its initial appearance at an AERO Friedrichshafen, taking part in the e-aircraft air show on Saturday, April 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Central European Time). Cassio S comes to Germany having validated the VoltAero electric-hybrid powertrain during more than 220 flights while covering a total distance of 10,000 km. and visiting 40 airports – including the industry-first use of sustainable fuel made from bioethanol produced with waste from French vineyards.

This year's AERO Friedrichshafen also marks the first time that VoltAero is joined at the annual German trade show by two key partners involved in the development of Cassio's powertrain: Safran Electrical & Power; and Kawasaki Motors, Ltd.

A media briefing update on the Cassio's propulsion system will be held on Friday April 19 with Jean Botti, VoltAero CEO and Chief Technology Officer; Bruno Bellanger, Executive VP - Power Division, Safran Electrical & Power; and Yuichiro “Jamie” Imai, Manager - Business Planning Department, Kawasaki Motors.
