Donaldson Aerospace and Defense, a division of Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), announced today that the company has been selected by Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A. - NYSE: ERJ), one of the world's largest manufacturers of jets for the commercial, executive and defense markets, as the supplier of cabin air filters for the new midlight Legacy 450 and midsize Legacy 500 executive jets. Shipments are expected to begin in 2012.

Embraer selected Donaldson for its strong track record of providing high quality filtration systems for aircraft, offering a combination of superior filtration technology and industry leading global product support.

Embraer will offer a Donaldson High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration system which provides improved cabin air quality when compared to traditional executive jet models that typically don't use recirculation filters. Donaldson HEPA filters trap dust, lint, pollen, smoke, bacteria, viruses, spores and other contaminants resulting in a clean and comfortable environment for the crew, passengers, equipment and other critical systems.

"The use of HEPA filtration on board executive aircraft is a growing trend," commented Sheila Peyraud, General Manager of Donaldson Aerospace & Defense. "We're very pleased to have been selected by Embraer to help improve the air quality on board the new Legacy 450 & 500 aircraft models."
