Sandvik completes the acquisition of Metrologic Group

In line with previous communication on 27 April 2018, Sandvik has completed the acquisition of the French metrology software company Metrologic Group from Astorg Partners. As of 4 July 2018 Metrologic Group will be reported as part of the business area Sandvik Machining Solutions.

Purchase price was 360 million EUR, on a cash and debt free basis. In fiscal year 2017, Metrologic Group generated revenues of 43.3 million EUR with an operating margin which would have been slightly accretive to the operating margin of Sandvik Machining Solutions. Impact on Sandvik’s earnings per share is initially expected to be neutral to slightly positive.
