Aero Montreal delighted with the selection of the "MOST 21" innovation supercluster in aerospace and transportation

Aero Montreal, Quebec's aerospace cluster, welcomes with optimism the selection of the Mobility Systems and Technologies for the 21st Century innovation supercluster ("MOST 21"). It is one of nine superclusters shortlisted for the federal government Initiative.

The MOST 21 supercluster collected 188 letters of support from companies, organizations, educational institutions and research centres in Canada's mobility, advanced manufacturing, and information and telecommunications technologies sectors. It aims to accelerate the commercialization of technologies, practices and skills that are needed to make Canada a global mobility leader for the 21st century.

"Aero Montreal is cited as a model of excellence among industry-based clusters, a model that has been replicated by other entities of this kind in Canada and around the world," says Suzanne M. Benoit, President of Aero Montreal. "We are confident that the expertise and best practices of our industrial cluster will serve as a lever to help raise collaboration among all the MOST 21 supercluster stakeholders across Canada. This will result in concrete economic benefits stemming from the commercialization projects of the six platforms envisaged," she adds.

The MOST 21 supercluster will focus on six areas of technological excellence based on the strengths and advantages of existing industrial clusters, especially the Quebec aerospace cluster: advanced manufacturing; 3-D printed vehicles; eco-technologies; Big data for mobility, aviation and space; autonomy and on-demand mobility; and virtual design and testing.
