Aeroconseil and Stirling Dynamics sign a Memorandum of Agreement

12/11/2008

Press releaseIssued by Stirling Dynamics Ltd..

Toulouse-based EADS Tier-1 supplier Aeroconseil, and UK strategic supplier Stirling Dynamics have signed a Memorandum Of Agreement to jointly develop and deliver engineering services for EADS, specifically Airbus, and potentially other aerospace customers on a worldwide basis.

Aeroconseil and Stirling Dynamics will build upon their complementary engineering skill sets and geographical locations to provide long-term commitment and a combined and closely-coordinated single point of reference for new and existing customers within the EADS business. Under the MOA Stirling Dynamics becomes an affiliate of Aeroconseil in its EADS Tier-1 status.

Their combined offer covers the entire development process chain for the aviation industry. This includes aeroplane concept and architecture, mechanics, as well as system integration, simulation and testing.

This collaborative agreement is a new milestone in the European aircraft engineering consortium led by Aeroconseil which also includes Genser in India and the recently created joint venture on the German market between Aeroconseil and Bertrandt.

The aim of the consortium is to provide the most efficient vehicle for delivering both transnational and local packages, and to satisfy the aims of the EADS E2S and Power8 strategies by offering the capacity to handle large, multi-capability requirements including an off-shoring element.

Stephen Judd, Managing Director of Stirling Dynamics, said 'In Aeroconseil, Stirling Dynamics has found an EADS Tier-1 partner that shares its outlook, customer focus and desire to develop EADS business. The skill sets of each partner are completely compatible and Stirling looks forward to providing the UK interface for joint operations as well as accessing work-streams all across Europe. The working relationship has already been shown as powerful and mutually advantageous and the signing of the MOA ratifies this strong start.' Olivier Duchmann, COO International Development of Aeroconseil added "As a strategic supplier of the aviation industry, Aercoconseil's strategy is based on stepping up our international development in order to support EADS and other customers in their complex projects. Through this agreement with Stirling Dynamics and the joint venture we concluded with Bertrandt during the summer, we ideally complete our range of engineering services and our European industrial set-up between the four EADS major countries: United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and France."
