AIM Aerospace awarded contract for exhaust ducting for Boeing 787 aircraft

AIM Aerospace, a leader in design and fabrication of advanced composite structures, has been awarded a long term contract from Boeing Canada Winnipeg for exhaust ducting on Boeing 787 aircraft.

The parts will be produced in their Sumner, WA location, which is currently being renovated into a state of the art manufacturing facility. The transformation started in mid 2018, and will be completed in the first quarter of 2019. A fundamental element of this transformation is the insertion of automation and smart manufacturing systems to significantly improve the health and safety of the employees and the quality of the product for our customers.

These sub-assemblies are lightweight, secondary flight structures which incorporate Avior's integrated fabrication capabilities of composite components, machined and sheet metal details.
