17/06/2015

Press releaseIssued by Airbus S.A.S..

During a live art event held on Wednesday at the Paris Air Show, the artist Gérard Economos painted the tail of Airbus Group's all-electric E-Fan 2.0 mock-up.

“Gérard Economos' distinctive and unconventional way of painting is inspiring. His newest masterpiece on our E-Fan 2.0 mock-up symbolises in expressive art the unique technologies and innovations we will integrate into this aircraft,” said Jean Botti, Airbus Group's Chief Technical Officer.

Airbus Group will build the Final Assembly Line for the E-Fan 2.0 all-electric aircraft in Pau, southwest France. The targeted goal for entry-into-service of the first E-Fan 2.0 is around the end of 2017 or beginning of 2018.

Voltair SAS, owned 100 percent by Airbus Group, will manage the E-Fan 2.0's development, production and delivery as well as selling and providing services like maintenance.
