M.C. Gill Corporation has announced that its subsidiary, Alcore Inc., has been awarded a long-term contract by Boeing Defense, Space & Security to furnish nonmetallic honeycomb core floor panel bonded assemblies in support of the V-22 program. The first shipset of core assemblies is to be delivered during the third quarter of 2010 and extend through the V-22 Program Lot 14 -16 requirements. Work will be performed at Alcore Inc. in Edgewood, Maryland and M.C. Gill Corporation in El Monte, California.
David Cross, Chief Operating Officer of Alcore, stated, "The award of these V-22 Honeycomb parts to Alcore is an excellent fit for our nonmetallic core machining facility here in Maryland, and permits us to offer this program the benefits of our vertical integration in honeycomb core materials and lean machining processes."
