Announcing the new K-Series 3" (76 mm) stroke, air-cooled shaker systems rated at 17,000 lbf (75.6 kN)

Unholtz-Dickie Corp, a global supplier of Vibration Test Systems for over 50 years, introduces the new K-Series family of high performance, electrodynamic Shaker Systems. All K-Series Shakers are 100% air-cooled, provide 3 inch Stroke (76 mm) and feature a maximum output rating of 17,000 lbf (75.6 kN). These K170 Shakers have been optimally designed using Finite Element Analysis and are built with state-of-the-art materials, resulting in a Shaker platform ideal for testing large, massive packages at high g-levels, while maintaining the simplicity and economy of 100% air-cooling. The K170 Shaker is available with a choice of two armatures: 17.5 inch dia (445 mm) and 25.75 inch dia (654 mm) which support loads up to 2,500 lbs (1,136 kg) and provide automatic table centering standard.

The new K170 Shaker armature suspension incorporates dual in-line guide bearings and rugged shear mount elements. This robust suspension design effectively restrains off-axis motion and extends armature reliability, allowing the K170 to meet the demands of today's long stroke, low frequency vibration test specifications.

The K-Series Shakers are offered with three base configurations: Low Profile (LP) for AGREE style testing with a temperature / humidity chamber; Pedestal Base (PB) with trunnion rotation allowing the shaker to interface with a separate Slip Table; and Slip Table (ST), an integral base for sequential 3-axis testing. All K-Series Shakers are driven by proven SAI-Series Power Amplifiers with superior IGBT output circuitry operating in conjunction with a companion DC Field Power Supply, all located in a small footprint, air-cooled 2-bay cabinet.
