APPH to supply landing gear for Super Lynx and AW159

APPH, a BBA Aviation company, has been selected by AgustaWestland to supply landing gear for the Super Lynx 300 and AW159 helicopters. AgustaWestland recently announced its first export order for the AW159 from South Korea's Defence Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), initially for eight aircraft. This order is in addition to 62 aircraft under contract to the UK Armed Forces. The aircraft will be delivered in 2015-2016.

"APPH and AgustaWestland have a longstanding relationship built upon the AW101 programme," commented APPH Director of Business Development Simon Atwell. "APPH is pleased to extend that relationship with the Super Lynx and Wildcat helicopters."

APPH designs, qualifies, manufactures and provides aftermarket support for landing gear and hydraulic systems for commercial and military aircraft. The majority of its landing gear programmes are supplied to fixed wing military trainers and fighters, and civil and military helicopters. APPH also has a strong pedigree in turbo prop aircraft, both commercial regional and military transport.
