Array Connector earns ISO 9001:2008 certification

07/05/2010

Press releaseIssued by Array Connector Corporation.

Array Connector Corporation, a leading producer of high-reliability, environmentally sealed mil-spec connectors for rugged, critical applications, recently achieved the latest International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 certification. The company also successfully passed its annual surveillance audit for the AS9100 Certificate with a near-perfect score.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification affirms that the policies, practices and procedures at Array Connector are designed to ensure consistent, quality products and a commitment to continuous improvement. Array originally acquired ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2007.

AS9100 is the international management system standard for the Aircraft, Space and Defense (AS&D) industry. Managed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), the AS9100 standard is the benchmark for providing safe and reliable products to the aerospace industry.

"Earning the ISO 9001:2008 distinction is a testament to our ability to meet rigorous international quality requirements," said Fred Gilliam, Corporate Quality Director for Array Connector. "It also validates that we have the proper systems in place to solve customer challenges, reduce waste and achieve even better uniformity, on-time delivery and product quality."

Array Connector achieved the ISO 9001:2008 standard and passed its annual AS9100 surveillance audit following an independent review by Intertek Testing Services, N.A. that reviewed all aspects of the Array quality management system (QMS).

In addition to the ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 certifications, Array Connector also holds the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) MIL-DTL-26482 and MIL-DTL-5015 specifications and the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA).
