AutoPower®, Safe Flight's Automatic Throttle System (ATS) is under development and currently being offered as a retrofit on the Cessna Citation X through a contract with the Cessna Service Center in Wichita Kansas.
Development hardware has been qualified and delivered with first flight scheduled to take place in the 4th quarter of 2010.
Safe Flight's ATS will be certified under a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the Cessna Service Center and will be available for installation on production aircraft as well as on a retrofit basis to existing in-service Citation X operators.
AutoPower® is a full regime Automatic Throttle System that is designed to provide smooth and precise engine target settings for airspeed control. The system delivers significant flight performance and safety advantages resulting in increased situational awareness, reduced crew workload, and greater passenger comfort.
AutoPower® systems and components from Safe Flight are installed on more than 9,000 corporate, commercial, and military aircraft.
