AveoPhantom™ SmartPlane™ serial production announced by Strojkov Engineering

The AveoPhantom™ SmartPlane™ is the first in a new generation of aircraft from AveoEngineering.  Conceived and managed by Americans Chris Nielsen and Chuck Reynolds, AveoEngineering is the aeronautical and manufacturing division of Strojkov Engineering s.r.o., the largest contract design engineering firm in Eastern Europe.

Produced at the AveoEngineering 140,000 square foot factory near Kosice, Slovakia, the AveoPhantom is packed with standard features and equipment that other manufacturers either dream about or offer as expensive options.  Mr. Nielsen explained, "At the heart of it all is the incredible World's 1st all-touchscreen, all-digital complete avionics suite, the DigitalFlightDeck™."  With such incredible features as a real-time aircraft weight and CG indication system, a combined radio-transponder-traffic unit, touchscreen GPS moving map, and so forth, the DigitalFlightDeck™ makes the aircraft easy to manage and offers the pilot an intuitive and simple flight information and support system.  The Aveo SmartYoke™ touch-screen flight control is a tremendous advance in pilot productivity and safety added Mr. Nielsen.

Available as S-LSA, fast-build kit, and tail-dragger version, the aircraft is engineered from special structural materials and aluminum. The aircraft is built and on display at the factory in Europe now where Distributors and Dealers are presently receiving product training. AveoUSA, the Las Vegas based USA importer, will be showing the plane at Copper State and AOPA shows. AveoAsia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is introducing the airplane at a special event in September.

AveoEngineering has had significant support from the BAE Systems plc Offset Program for Slovakia in the development and production of the DigitalFlightDeck™ and the AveoPhantom™. The new aircraft production at the Aveo factory is creating 150 additional aerospace-calibre jobs in economically depressed Gelnica area of Eastern Slovakia.
