Avianor announces facilities expansion

10/04/2018

Press releaseIssued by Avianor Inc..

Avianor Inc. is pleased to announce the purchase of a new headquarters facility in Mirabel, Quebec.

With airside access at the Montreal International Airport (Mirabel-YMX) and over 100,000 sq. ft. of shops and offices, the new facility is the first step in the company's consolidation and growth plan.

Having moved to Mirabel in 2001, the company has grown from 30 to over 350 employees and operates out of three rented facilities at the Montreal-Mirabel (YMX) airport. Providing commercial aircraft cabin interior integration solutions to airlines, OEM's and leasing companies, Avianor welcomes clients from the world over.

"Logically, we would like to have all our facilities in one building, but often measured growth does not allow that to happen, especially when multi-million dollar investments are involved" Said Sylvain Savard, President and Founder of Avianor. "This investment is a step in the right direction and provides a foundation for future consolidation of our activities".

The building in question is less than 500 meters from the current Avianor head office; however, it has been vacant for a number of years so an extensive renovation is underway to prepare the shops and offices for occupation later this spring.

"With demand for hangar-related services through 2019 continuing to be very strong, we are anticipating further expansion in the form of an additional hangar facility to be built adjacent and connected to our new headquarters" says Earl Diamond, CEO of Avianor. "Being able to have all our staff and back shops in one place is a goal all of the Avianor family has been working towards this past 23 years."
