Aviastar-SP has completed assembly and handed over for testing the next serial Il-76MD-90A

At the Ulyanovsk aircraft building enterprise JSC Aviastar-SP (as part of the UAC Transport Aviation Division (PJSC UAC of Rostec State Corporation), work has been completed on the final assembly of the next serial heavy transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A.

The new aircraft, built in accordance with the production program of the UAC Transport Aviation Division, was transferred from the final assembly workshop to the company's flight test station (LIS) for ground and flight tests. As part of the ground test stage, LIS specialists will check the functioning of the fuel system and the control system for measuring the aircraft fuel, its hydraulic system, perform the de-preservation and launch of the auxiliary power unit, the regime race of engines with control of the parameters and operation of the aircraft systems, and other necessary tasks.

"Before the new aircraft was transported to the LIS, the customer's representatives were presented with the results of testing the fuel system and the tightness of the aircraft fuel tanks, carried out its general technical inspection, control of the shape and quality of the outer surface, and inspection of the product for completeness. After that, the work on the stage of production of the final assembly was completed, - says Oleg Siyanchev, director of the Il-76 and Il-112V programs.

At the flight test station, the aircraft is to be flight tested, painted and put into operation.

The Il-76MD-90A is a deeply modernized version of the well-proven Il-76 aircraft. Developer - PJSC Aviation Complex named after S.V. Ilyushin ". The new flight and navigation complex, automatic control system, communications complex and "glass" cockpit meet all modern requirements for aircraft avionics and significantly increase flight safety, accuracy of air navigation and landing. Installation of modern PS-90A-76 engines, modified wing and reinforced landing gear significantly expand the operational capabilities of the aircraft.
