AVS-SYS achieves ISO9001 certification

15/03/2016

Press releaseIssued by the company.

AVS-SYS Ltd, the innovative composite products company, has been certified with ISO9001. This international recognised standard reflects the extent of the company's quality and standards systems, including the new systems introduced since relocating to larger facilities in Alderley Edge, near Manchester, UK.

“We are very happy that we have been certified to ISO9001 standards. This recognises the hard work and effort that the whole AVS-SYS team has put into developing and growing the company since our move to Alderley Edge.” said Paul Heaton, Managing Director AVS-SYS Ltd. “Certifications such of these demonstrate that we have the capability and scope to meet our customers' requirements for advanced composites, manufactured to the highest standards and practices in the industry. The robust systems and procedures that we have put in place are in accordance with the company's objective of achieving AS9100 certification in the future.”

ISO 9001 is one of the most widely recognised Quality Management System (QMS) in the world. As a member of the ISO 9000 family of quality management system standards, it helps organisations meet the expectations and needs of their customers. In order to reach this standard, a company must implement and maintain quality systems across the entire breadth of their operations. AVS-SYS passed its year one audit in December 2015 without a single non-conformity.

AVS-SYS Ltd provides high quality engineering, design, integration and manufacturing of products and complete systems utilising composite materials. It specialises in the aerospace sector across the full spectrum of commercial/military, fixed/rotary wing and manned/unmanned air vehicles. Its team of class leading, highly experienced professionals provides a level of expertise that is unmatched outside of a major aircraft manufacturer. This enables AVS-SYS to provide complete program management over the lifetime of a project from initial concept design, system integration, manufacturing and qualification through to in-service support.
