Bell V-280 Valor makes first ever cruise mode flight

16/05/2018

Press releaseIssued by Bell Helicopter Textron.

The Bell V-280 Valor has successfully completed the next milestone of its flight testing by flying in "cruise mode," where the rotors pivot, in flight, from vertical lift mode to fully forward facing.

The Bell V-280 Valor design features advanced tiltrotor speed and range, integrated cabin armor, fly-by-wire component redundancy and state of the art countermeasures. With more than twice the speed and range of current helicopter platforms, the Bell V-280 also provides superior low-speed agility.
