Boeing subsidiary CDG announces co-operation with software company AviIT limited to provide airlines and aircraft maintenance companies with a comprehensive information management solution

Continental DataGraphics (CDG), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has announced that it has agreed to work in cooperation with aerospace software supplier AviIT Limited.

AviIT has a cost-effective software solution to enable airlines and aircraft maintenance companies to put all their maintenance and operational documentation online.  This means that they can have a single, centralised library of up-to-date documentation, viewable from any location, on any device anywhere in the world.

CDG provide the technical authoring and illustrating resources to populate the software as part of the implementation phase, thereby reducing the burden on in-house publication staff.  CDG can also manage all staff involved in documentation creation and update, or provide additional staff on a contract basis to ensure that documentation meets regulatory requirements.

This unique cooperation means that new cost-effective and efficient documentation practices can be implemented and managed on an ongoing basis without relying on internal resources which either don't exist, or are too busy to take on an additional project workload.

For airlines whose resources are already stretched, this makes it possible to achieve operational efficiencies without the need to build a large internal document management and control team.
