Brook One announces new fire barrier cover film for thermal/acoustic insulation

07/01/2015

Press releaseIssued by Brook One Corporation.

Brook One Corporation (Toronto, Canada) has launched two new products for use in the fabrication of thermal/acoustic aircraft insulation blankets.

Fire barrier products (BO 856B-I and BO856B-II) are lightweight, flexible and abuse-resistant laminates designed to resist the spread of fire and burn through in thermal/acoustic insulation blankets.

Brook One's Research and Development team has engineered these two innovative products that feature a polyetheretherketone (PEEK) material for strength, low smoke (and toxicity), combined with a propriety core that is a proven fire barrier solution.

The cover films have underwent extensive testing including the latest and more stringent Federal Aviation Regulations FAR 825.56 (a) Flammability and FAR 825.56 (b) Burn Through, aimed to improve protection against fire intrusion into aircraft interior cabins.
