Certification received for Aspen displays integration with Garmin's GTX 345 ADS-B transponder

Aspen Avionics announced today it has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to interface its Evolution primary and multi-function displays with the Garmin GTX 345 all-in-one transponder.

Installing the GTX 345 with an Aspen EFD1000 primary flight display will allow aircraft owners to take full advantage of viewing ADS-B weather and traffic information directly in their line of sight; greatly enhancing flight safety by reducing pilot scan resulting in an overall improvement in situational awareness.

"We anticipated certification for the GTX 345 transponder integration with Aspen's displays prior to the end of 2016, and have delivered on that commitment.
