Composites Atlantic Limited wins Bombardier Global 7000 and Global 8000 business aircraft contract

24/04/2013

Press releaseIssued by STELIA Aerospace North America.

Composites Atlantic Limited is pleased to announce a multi-year contract with Aerolia for the design and fabrication of the composites wheel bin on the new Bombardier Global 7000 and Global 8000 business aircraft. Composites Atlantic is proud to add a new customer to its already wide portfolio. Aerolia is a well known and successful European aerostructures leader. Aerolia Canada will employ more than 150 persons on one site in Canada, dedicated to engineering already operational and the "plug & fly" assembly of the fuselage. With this concept, the already equipped and tested fuselage will be directly delivered to Bombardier's assembly lines. CAL sees this first contract as a step forward in developing a stronger collaboration with Aerolia.

CAL is honored by the confidence that Aerolia is putting into our capabilities and expertise. We are convinced that we will be providing an excellent support and will be meeting our commitments to Aerolia.

The Global aircraft family is a clear leader in the large cabin and long range segments. “This provides for a very stable program in terms of revenues expectations for CAL” said Mr. Claude Baril, President and CEO of Composites Atlantic Limited.

“We will be working diligently by putting a strong development team in place to ensure that we deliver a high quality product, meet our cost and delivery targets. To achieve this, we will work in close relationship with our customer and ensure that challenges are addressed in full transparency and with our common goal in mind.” said Mr. Tim Aulenback, Engineering Manager of Composites Atlantic Limited.
