Continuous Composites to open Seattle-area engineering facility in Kent, Washington

19/10/2026

Press releaseIssued by Continuous Composites .

Continuous Composites Inc., a leader in advanced composite manufacturing technology, today announce it is opening an engineering facility in Kent, Washington. The approximately 5,600-square-foot facility will support the continued development of the company's patented Continuous Fiber 3D Printing (CF3D) technology and expand its ability to collaborate with aerospace, defence and space companies throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Located in the heart of the Kent Valley, one of the nation's most concentrated aerospace and advanced manufacturing corridors, the facility will provide access to a highly skilled technical workforce and an established network of aircraft, spacecraft, defence, materials and precision-manufacturing companies. The Kent engineering team will advance CF3D technology, develop high-temperature composite components, and collaborate with customers and industry partners.

"Establishing an engineering presence in Kent places Continuous Composites closer to many of the organisations shaping the future of aerospace and defence manufacturing," said Steve Starner, CEO of Continuous Composites. "This facility will allow our engineers to engage more directly with industry partners, accelerate the development of CF3D technology and explore new applications where automated composite manufacturing can address critical performance, cost and production challenges."

CF3D is an automated manufacturing process that combines continuous fiber reinforcement with rapid-curing thermoset materials. By placing continuous fibers along complex, three-dimensional paths, the technology creates new opportunities to consolidate assemblies, reduce weight, improve structural performance and automate the production of advanced composite components.

The Kent facility represents the latest step in the company's continued expansion. In April 2026, Continuous Composites moved into a new 17,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, more than doubling its footprint to accommodate a growing team, expanding programme portfolio and increasing demand for CF3D technology.

"Kent Valley offers a rare combination of aerospace heritage, advanced manufacturing expertise and emerging space innovation," Starner added. "Combined with our expanded headquarters and manufacturing operations in Coeur d'Alene, this new engineering facility strengthens the infrastructure and technical capabilities needed to support our continued growth."

Additional information regarding employment opportunities and the facility's opening timeline will be announced as plans are finalised.
