Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Italian Seat Manufacturer, Geven S.P.A., to provide the new Compact Hydrolok Seat Recline System for Piuma seats on the Airbus A320. The initial order will include 500 Compact Hydroloks for one of three seat models Geven has developed for the A320 fleet. Total orders to date for Piuma seats is more than 220 shipsets.
The new Compact Hydrolok Seat Recline System was launched in April at the annual Aircraft Interiors show in Hamburg. It was developed to be a lightweight, cost-effective solution for all seat recline lock applications. "Our customers were looking for a Seat Recline System that was more reliable than current systems installed in aircraft seats, but not more expensive," explained Carol Marinello, Vice President of Cabin System Solutions. "Our Compact Hydroloks are rugged, virtually maintenance-free, and very compact. They are a drop-in replacement for existing gas lock designs."
Crane Aerospace & Electronics has over 60 years experience in seat control with over 28,000 premium passenger seats currently installed and flying with the iMotion seat Motion Control System.
