Cytec introduces high-performance liquid resin at JEC Composites

Cytec Engineered Materials (CEM), a business unit of Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) is introducing its new PRISM™ EP2400 liquid infusion resin at JEC Composites 2010 on April 13 – 15 at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center. This unique, one-part toughened epoxy system represents a step forward in infusion resin capability, delivering primary structure level performance without limiting reinforcement or processing type. With PRISM EP2400 resin, manufacturers no longer face trade-offs between performance and processing; they get resin infusion without compromise.

The PRISM EP2400 system uses a proprietary combination of toughening technologies in a resin designed for enhanced processability. The result is a wide processing window, extended stable pot-life, superior flow behavior and a high degree of mechanical toughness. PRISM EP2400 resin is compatible with all major infusion processes, can be used with any type of textile configuration and can also be processed out-of-autoclave. PRISM EP2400 resin simplifies manufacturing processes reducing quality concerns and enables design of large complex integrated structures that reduce part count and save weight.
