Desser Tire & Rubber Co., Inc. announced today that it was awarded a prime contract by General Atomics Aeronautical for warehousing and "in time" supply of aircraft tires and tubes used in OEM Production and the U.S. Military.
The two year agreement valued at over $1 million per year encompasses supply of Desser OEM branded products as well as Dunlop and Goodyear aircraft tires.
General Atomics Aeronautical produces state-of-the-art unmanned aircraft, including the Altus, Gnat, Gray Eagle and Predator for defense and technical studies. General Atomics is the preeminent pioneer and market leader in this field.
"We have been supplying General Atomics for over a decade and this contract shows continued confidence in Desser's ability to provide quality products, where they are needed, and on time. This contract compliments our existing portfolio of OEM and Military customers. Manufacturers such as American Champion, Aviat, Cessna, Diamond, Flight Design, Glasair, Rans, Remos, Van's and Zenith depend on Desser for their specialized needs." said Desser Tire and Rubber Co., Inc., President, Steven Chlavin.
