Electra selects lead airframe contractor

Electra is pleased to announce that it has selected Blue Force Technologies of Raleigh, North Carolina as the lead partner to design and fabricate the airframe of the Electra technology demonstrator.

“Since its founding in 2011, Blue Force Technologies has earned a well-deserved reputation for excellence in both production and prototyping programs,” said Electra Program Manager JP Stewart. “We are excited to be working with this high-energy team to get the technology demonstrator safely and quickly in the air and start collecting flight test data.”

Blue Force Technologies founder and president, Scott Bledsoe, adds “We are thrilled to be selected for Electra’s technology demonstrator airframe development and join the esteemed, high powered team Electra has put together. Blue Force is honored to help Electra progress its mission of using eSTOL to revolutionise regional mobility.”
