Esterline CMC Electronics' PilotView® EFB receives EASA certification for installation by RUAG on Embraer aircraft

Esterline CMC Electronics' (CMC) Class 2 PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for installation by RUAG on the Embraer EMB-135BJ regional aircraft. The certification covers a dual PilotView EFB installation enabling paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data, procedures manuals and interactive electronic charts. Embraer selected the PilotView EFB as a standard option for new aircraft production and for retrofits of in-service EMB-135BJ aircraft.

CMC's PilotView® EFB stays powered during all flight phases and is integrated with a number of aircraft systems, thereby improving application value for pilots, productivity and reducing workload. It features an LED-backlit display delivering enhanced readability in all ambient lighting conditions. The compact, self contained display-processor offers all of the latest processing capabilities available in the PilotView® product line.
