25/09/2012

Press releaseIssued by Fairmont Consulting Group.

Fairmont Consulting Group LLC is pleased to announce that it has been accepted as an Associate Member of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). AIA is the preeminent trade organization representing American aerospace and defense manufacturers. Concurrently, Fairmont Consulting Group has joined the AIA's Supplier Management Council (SMC). As a member of the SMC, Fairmont leadership will participate in a unique forum designed to improve customer-supplier relationships among AIA members.

"We're delighted to have Fairmont Consulting Group join AIA," said AIA President and CEO Marion C. Blakey. "Their expertise and experience in the aerospace and defense sector will contribute to our ongoing efforts to address critical issues that will make the industry stronger and more competitive."

"We are very pleased to have been accepted as an associate member of the AIA," said Jay Wynn, founder and Managing Director of Fairmont Consulting Group. "AIA membership is a privilege and we are honored to be a part of such a respected industry association. By joining AIA and the Supplier Management Council, Fairmont will be in regular contact with industry leaders to understand their requirements as they evolve, ensuring that we have a clear and current perspective on the issues and challenges confronting America's aerospace and defense sector. We look forward to engaging with AIA as active participants, supporting their goals and objectives for many years to come."

Fairmont Consulting Group has participated in two AIA events thus far, the Summer 2012 Supplier Management Council meeting hosted by Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT and the Fall 2012 SMC meeting in Washington, DC. The latter included a "Member March To The Hill" wherein Fairmont Director Ben Harper had the opportunity to engage in discussions with Congressional leadership regarding the potential impact of sequestration. SMC meetings have provided Fairmont with outstanding opportunities to engage with senior leaders from a variety of aerospace and defense manufacturers and suppliers, sharing thoughts and observations regarding issues of critical importance to the industry.
