Feronyl and Lockheed Martin deepen collaboration under Belgium’s ESI program

18/06/2025

Press releaseIssued by Sub-Alliance: Feronyl.

Feronyl and Lockheed Martin signed a letter stating the companies’ shared intent to continue discussions for potential future areas of collaboration.

The signed letter continues work under the Essential Security Interest (ESI) program associated with Belgium’s F-35 selection and follows Feronyl’s successful implementation of a research and development project with Lockheed Martin focused on advanced materials for aerospace and defence applications, which began in 2020.

Feronyl, established in 1950, also completed the construction of an advanced manufacturing facility in Wallonia, Belgium as a result of the ESI measure. The flexible factory has digital foundations to incorporate smart manufacturing materials and components and deliver cutting-edge solutions to rapidly and affordably support potential next-generation manufacturing opportunities in aerospace and defence.
