First customer's Velis Electro rolls out of assembly line
The Velis Electro s/n 003, first customer’s airplane of the type, at Ajdovščina airport.

During the recent months, Pipistrel's Production Organisation has been preparing for the beginning of the Velis Electro's serial production concurrently with the Type Certification programme, in order to surprise and delight our customers with deliveries as early as possible.

As a result of this elaborate effort, Pipistrel was able to roll the first customer's Velis Electro out of the assembly line less than one month after obtaining the Type Certificate, a testament to the company's efficiency and an impressive achievement by itself. On July 1, the same aircraft reached the significant milestone of having passed the first production test flight flawlessly, demonstrating the highest levels of manufacturing quality.

The Velis Electro s/n 003, first customer's airplane of the type, at Ajdovščina airport. Factory test flights will continue in the next weeks and our first customers will receive their aircraft already in July and August 2020. Since the announcement of achieving its type certification on June 10, 2020, the Velis Electro attracted new customers and Pipistrel now plans to deliver at least 39 units by the end of this year.
