Frequency Electronics, Inc. (FEI), a leading provider of precision timing and frequency control products for space and terrestrial applications, is pleased to announce the follow-on award of several contracts from a major aerospace company for precision “g” (acceleration) compensated Oven-controlled Quartz Oscillators (OCXO) for ultimate application in US Government software-defined radio systems. These precision oscillators incorporate FEI’s state-of-the-art patented technology for operating in high dynamic environments and generate precise frequencies that are critical to overall performance of the Link 16 system. The contracts are valued at approximately $6m. Follow-on contracts for additional units valued at over $2m are anticipated within three months.

FEI President and CEO, Tom McClelland, commented, “We are extremely pleased with this award and the opportunity to continue to deliver one of our core technologies for this mission-critical government program, and we anticipate continued demand for this product.”
