Hampson Aerospace achieves aerospace industry quality standard with AS9100 Rev C certification

05/12/2011

Press releaseIssued by Ascent Aerospace North America.

Hampson Aerospace Tooling Solutions (Hampson), part of Hampson Aerospace, announced today that its Coast Composites business unit has achieved AS9100 rev C certification.

"Achieving Rev C certification at Coast Composites is an important step in continuing to deliver excellence to our customers," according to Paul Walsh, Hampson Tooling Solutions CEO. "Hampson's other tooling companies, Global Tooling Systems and Odyssey Tooling, will undergo their Rev C audits in the coming months. Rev C is no easy certification to achieve given the added requirements of risk mitigation. Aerospace tooling is a dynamic business with significant challenges due to the concurrent design and build process. Our teams have worked hard at upgrading our processes in program management to deliver on these new requirements. This achievement clearly demonstrates our commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction."

Hampson is the leader in supplying precision aerospace tooling including layup molds, jigs, and fixtures for the world's premier aerospace programs. Tools designed and manufactured by Hampson have, and continue to play, a critical role in the design, pre-production, and production phases of many of the most important programs in aerospace including Boeing 787, 777, 747-8, 737; Airbus A380, A350, A320; Bombardier CSeries; Gulfstream G650; Cessna Citation; HondaJet; Lockheed Martin F-35; Boeing F-18; and Sikorsky CH53. Hampson now works with virtually every major airframe manufacturer in the world.
