Helping the next generation of innovative SMEs

19/12/2006

Press releaseIssued by Farnborough Aerospace Consortium.

Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) has been appointed by the South East England Development agency (SEEDA) as the managing body for the Farnborough Enterprise Hub. The Hub will work with entrepreneurs in the aerospace and defence sector within the South East to help develop small and medium sized enterprises, with support and encouragement from the resources of the Hub Network.

Based at FAC Headquarters in Farnborough, the Hub will benefit from the vast experiences and expertise found within FAC and its network of over 400 member companies. To lead this activity, Hub Director, Malcolm G. Loucks has been appointed. Malcolm brings over 35 years of international business experience to this role, from executive positions in finance, management and technology*.

Malcolm said: "I am joining the Farnborough Enterprise Hub at a vital stage in the development of the aerospace and defence sector, where the role of the small and medium sized company is becoming more and more important and they are required to perform in a very competitive market place. As a result, we have been set some strong targets for future growth in the sector, which form part of the overall SEEDA plan for regional development."
