Hexagon Metrology and EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company): framework contract until 2014

17/10/2011

Press releaseIssued by Leica Geosystems.

Hexagon Metrology and EADS renew their framework contract for all metrology products from Leica Geosystems until the end of 2014. This contract consolidates the strong cooperation between the supplier of portable metrology solutions and the EADS group. A framework contract between EADS and Leica Geosystems exists since 2002.

Leica Geosystems Metrology Products are a key factor for product quality within the different EADS units. They are widely used for build/inspect processes of tools and parts and enable metrology-assisted assembly. For EADS, using advanced metrology equipment results in short production cycles and cost efficiency in a highly demanding industry sector.

"This contract reaffirms our ability to assert ourselves as one of the favoured global suppliers of the EADS group for portable metrology solutions. Our accurate, reliable and innovating measuring solutions add substantial value to existing EADS products as well as new and enhanced aircraft programmes such as the Airbus A350 XWB and A320neo" explains Méhand Idri, EMEA Business Development Manager for Leica Geosystems Metrology Products.
