Ice protection system award

Ice Management Systems, Inc. (IMS), Temecula, California has been awarded an in-flight ice protection system contract from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. for the U.S. Army's Warrior ER/MP Unmanned Aerial Vehicle program. IMS is a NASA licensee for the Electro-Expulsive De-icing System (EEDS) technology and has developed the highly effective, light-weight, low power system for the UAV industry. The EEDS technology will provide Warrior with the ice protection necessary to meet Army requirements for flight in inclement weather conditions.
