28/10/2025

Press releaseIssued by BGT Aerospace.

Kaney Aerospace, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of flight‑critical electromechanical and electrical systems, precision components and engineered assemblies for aerospace, defense and medical applications, today announced the acquisition of BGT Aerospace, a manufacturer of ball screws and actuation components based in Freeland, Michigan.

Founded in 2017, BGT designs and manufactures high‑performance ball screws, mechanical actuators and gearboxes used across a range of military and commercial platforms. The acquisition strengthens Kaney’s vertically integrated platform and expands its technical expertise in motion control, prototyping and specialized test and validation services.

“This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver more complete engineered solutions to our customers,” said Jeffrey J. Kaney, Sr., Kaney’s CEO. “BGT’s deep technical experience in ball screws and actuator design is highly complementary to our electromechanical motion‑control capabilities and supports our continued vertical integration and growth.”

Under Kaney’s ownership, BGT will continue operations at its Freeland, MI. facility, integrating its skilled workforce with Kaney’s broad engineering and manufacturing base while mutually expanding Kaney and BGT’s customer relationships and scale.

The acquisition underscores Kaney’s commitment to expanding its U.S. manufacturing footprint and delivering high‑performance, flight‑ and mission‑critical components across the aerospace, defense and medical markets.
