Kohlman Systems Research, Inc. have forged a technical and commercial alliance with j2 Aircraft Dynamics Ltd

Kohlman Systems Research (KSR), the leading US based flight test program management and delivery company are delighted to announce a technical and commercial alliance with j2 Aircraft Dynamics Ltd, a UK based Flight Sciences Software Company to launch the AdVantage group of product and service offerings to the Flight Test, Flight Matching and Simulation market place.

KSR have been associated with j2 for some time and have recently moved their Flight Matching capability to the market leading Flight Sciences Software tool. Terry Marshall, President of KSR said, “what j2 have achieved in the Flight Matching, i.e. the simulation model development process is truly extraordinary. They have taken what was a hugely resource intensive process and enabled it to become a far more iterative and automated process. Users can expect to reduce their Flight Matching/Aero Modelling activity by at least 30%.”

The combination of the KSR technical leadership position in Simulation Flight Data collection coupled with the proven performance of the j2 Aircraft Dynamics Software will open up a range of product and service offerings which will be branded as the AdVantage range of applications.

This core building block also enables the AdVantage alliance to launch service offerings which will add significant value to existing areas of operation, namely:

• Accelerated Flight Test programmes reducing costs and test times, through test pilot rehearsal capability.

• Aircraft Model to Simulation using real time host and direct connection with the engineering environment.

• Aircraft Model development for Air Accident Investigation purposes

• Rapid Modelling and evaluation for the STC market.

• Flight Test Data custodianship services and data conversion services bringing older data into a format which can be used within the j2 Software environment.

The AdVantage range of services will be formally, launched at IITSEC in Orlando in early December 2013.
