Laboratory Testing Inc. announces continuation of Nadcap accreditation

02/12/2015

Press releaseIssued by Laboratory Testing Inc..

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) was successfully audited and approved for continued accreditation by the Performance Review Institute Aerospace Program (PRI Nadcap). The renewed Nadcap accreditations demonstrate conformance for Nondestructive Testing services (Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Ultrasonic Testing) and Aerospace Quality Systems AC7004. The full-service testing and calibration laboratory also holds Nadcap accreditation in Materials Testing.

Nadcap is a global cooperative accreditation program that ensures the products and services provided by aerospace manufacturers and suppliers meet specified safety, quality and reliability requirements. Nadcap has developed industry-wide audit criteria which is strictly enforced to ensure that laboratories are performing testing and analysis according to the quality standards and specifications required.

In addition, AC7004 is designed to verify that suppliers maintain an effective quality system that ensures compliant inspection, as well as product and process integrity. AC7004 accreditation shows original equipment manufacturers that the accredited facility has passed a rigorous quality examination by PRI.

According to LTI's Director of Quality, Frank Peszka, “Lab Testing first received Nadcap accreditation for nondestructive testing in 1992 and materials testing in 1994. Our scope of accredited services has grown significantly over the years and the level of conformity of our procedures and quality system to audit requirements is reflected in the Lab's continued 24-month merit status in NDT with PRI.” The Supplier Merit Program awards extended frequency between audits to suppliers based on length of participation as a Nadcap accredited supplier, number and severity of recorded non-conformances, and supplier cycle time.

LTI's Aerospace Quality Systems AC7004 certificates do not expire until January 31, 2019. The Nadcap accreditation certificates for Nondestructive Testing are now valid until January 31, 2018 and the Materials Testing certificate is valid through October 31, 2016.
